Safeguarding Children in Education Level 2 training is suitable for anybody who works with children, requiring a deeper understanding of safeguarding processes and the legislation around it. This includes roles such as:

The Safeguarding of Children in Education Level 1 course provides an introduction to safeguarding, whereas Level 2 is tailored to those who frequently work with children and defines the appropriate safeguarding legislation.

Safeguarding children in schools is important because it's critical to spot the warning signs of any abuse or harm and know how to report any concerns to keep children and young people safe.

With teachers being around children every day, they are more likely to spot any signs, whether physical or mental, and they can ensure children feel comfortable enough to come forward and speak to them if needed. This Safeguarding Children Level 2 in Education training will give them the skills and knowledge needed to help children and young people.

Safeguarding in schools encompasses all actions taken to protect children and young people from harm and promote their welfare.

This includes preventing all forms of abuse and neglect (physical, emotional, sexual, and neglect), ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment, responding appropriately to any concerns about a child's well-being, and working in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies when necessary.

This course will explain the roles and responsibilities associated with safeguarding as a teacher.

Certificates for this Child Safeguarding training Level 2 do not have a set expiry date. However, we recommend annual completion of our Safeguarding courses to keep updated with safeguarding legislation in England and the rest of the UK.
