Keep things interesting. Alternate between high and low interest activities and vary the pacing of the lesson
Redirect instead of scolding. If the student becomes distracted, redirect them in a way that doesn’t cause embarrassment
Use reflective learning by teaching the child to say “you want me to...” or “you’re saying that...” so they can confirm what they’ve just learnt.

You can calm down a child with ADHD by ensuring you have a consistent schedule, allow breaks and rewards, maintain calm, and try not to get angry or yell when they get angry. Encouraging them to take deep breaths or count to 10, 20 can help them regain control and feel calm themselves.

Set up a designated study area that is free of distractions
