About this Physical Intervention Training Course

Physical intervention skills are sometimes required for the safe and legal management of physically challenging behaviour. This Physical Intervention training will prepare you to safely and humanely react to crisis situations where restrictive physical intervention is the last resort to prevent serious harm. 

At the end of this restrictive physical intervention training course, learners will be able to identify challenging behaviour and know when to intervene, know physical intervention techniques, know the risks involved in physical intervention, know the causes and diffusion of anger and aggression, learn unacceptable practice and learn how physical intervention is used with people with dementia. 

Duration Duration This Physical Intervention training course is a half day (6 hours) course.
Entry & Level Entry & Level There are no barriers to entry on this Physical Intervention training for carers. This is an awareness course, suitable for all.   
Certification Certification On completion of this Physical Intervention training course, you will receive a certificate saying you have successfully completed this course.
